Encouraging girls to pursue careers in mathematics

Workshops are organized to give high school girls the opportunity to discuss mathematics as a path to success. They interact with renowned female mathematicians and outstanding women working in jobs that require a high level in mathematics. The meetings focus, in particular, on the use of probability and statistics in the physical, economic, financial and social spheres and their diffusion and application in these fields.

The support of a group of women mathematicians (Laure Dumaz, Nicole El Karoui, Alice Guionnet, Yuko Harayama...) gives these workshops concrete examples of success through mathematics.

Cournot's network of women mathematicians participate in the workshops "Girls, Math and Computer Science" organized by the associations Animath and femmes & mathématiques.
